Wales and Ireland House Party

June 6th - 21st, 2025
With one week in an Elegant Georgian Country House in Pembrokeshire,Wales and one week in a One of a Kind Castle in West County Limerick, Ireland.

Our first week will be spent at Elm Grove Country House in Florence just outside of Tenby in Wales. This gorgeous Georgian Country House and its surrounds are located at the top of a tree lined drive just a few minutes walk from the village of St Florence. The house is surrounded by nearly 15 acres of private lawns, orchards, gardens and fields. St Florence is a village of immense charm and a past winner of the coveted Wales in Bloom trophy. There are many pretty cottages, one with a well known architectural feature known as a Flemish chimney – the last surviving example of its kind in the area. It also has an interesting 13th century church.

Pembrokeshire is the perfect destination with golden sands backed by towering cliffs teeming with wildlife and covered in a riot of flowers, especially in spring. The Pembrokeshire coast path runs the length of the county and affords views to take your breath away. Crystal clear waters make it perfect for spotting dolphins, or seeing seals hauled up in secret coves. Pembrokeshire is home to some of the loveliest coastal drives in Wales and we will travel the coastal route through St. Anne's Head, Marloes, St. Brides, Little Haven and Broad Haven. We will also visit the lovely towns and villages of Saundersfoot, St. Lawrence, Gumfreston, Penally and New Hedges. No matter where you go, there is amazing beauty and breathtaking scenery at every turn and around every corner! Our days will be spent exploring, castle hunting with Pembroke, Picton, Carew and Manorbier Castles. We will also visit the Tudoe Merchants House and St. David's. In the evenings we will have lovely dinners at home with a Gin Cocktail Masterclass one night, a Murder Mystery another night, and a Musical Evening on another.

Our second week will be spent in the one of a kind Irish Castle, Springfield Castle situated in the heart of County Limerick on a magical 200 acre wooded estate and is approached along a magnificent three quarter mile long avenue, lined with ancient lime trees and within its walls you will find over 700 years of family history. Generations have fought battles, held parties and generally enjoyed life within its ancient walls. When we venture out you will find Limerick county is dotted with beautiful towns and villages and gives the visitor the perfect mix of city and country life. The attractions in Limerick county range from historic interest, the River Shannon, the Atlantic Ocean and world renowned golf courses. The castle is also ideally located as a base to tour all the best attractions such as Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, the Wild Atlantic Way, the Dingle Peninsula, Blarney and Cork, and so we will take them all in. In the evenings we will have Gourmet Dinners followed by a Night of Irish Traditional Music and Dancing, an Irish Storytelling Session with a Seanchai and a Whiskey Tasting Session in the bar and one evening out to a Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet. Full daily itinerary to follow shortly.
